I haven't abandoned my photography though. In the past 6 months I've been recieving treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma (aka Hodgkin's Disease) which has meant 3 months of chemotherapy and a month of radiotherapy. I've moved back to Sydney for this, and as such, am just getting back into my shooting now. Wanting to get into other things than gig stuff, but I want back in to the music industry again. Boo. Am still running around with the same equipment.

Starting a Tafe course in a few weeks too.

It's Winter in Sydney now and it's damn cold.

Overall, things are on the up, but I fear I won't be on DA much, as per usual. Consider this a cheerio

New Years Resolutions, let's recap:

- Take more photos - Done
- Meet more people whilst taking photos - Done
- Print business cards - Done
- Get website up and running - Done
- Be dedicated to what I want to do (ie take more photos) - Not as much as I should have
- Get back into my karate (ie get black belt) - I broke my leg instead
- Start cycling more - Kinda. New bike, but not too much time
- Have at least one exhibition in 2008 - Not Done. Early next year hopefully.

I have long hair now. A few more scars. A fair bit more patience. Almost 150gb more of photos in store. A fully functioning website. Business cards!!! A bigger credit-card debt. Three ukuleles. And a planner for 2009 sitting next to me.

I made it through my 49 hour week, photographed Amanda Palmer and The Red Paintings' Christmas show, just got a whole bunch of my belongings from my parents who drove up to brisbane from sydney to see me (aw..!) and... my hard drive on my laptop is full. fuckit. I'm going to have to buy a new external HDD tomorrow. I think I'll use it just as a photo archive. I think 320gb will cover it

Yay I have my own bass guitar back with me after so long!

My knees have imploded. Plus its waaay too hot. Grr.

I'm pretty much working. damn you xmas retail!!! Eve, and Boxing Day I'm on. But can't say I expected anything less.

Next week - so so busy! My friend's birthday on Tuesday, photographing Amanda Palmer Wednesday night, extended trading hours all week, The Red Paintings' Christmas Show on Saturday and helping clean up after it, then Sunday drinks for friend's birthday, Monday work and dinner with parents (sigh) then Christmas day I will be unconscious until dinner.

I think I may have to visit Happy High Herbs for some awakeness.
